72 Hours in Healdsburg | The Jewels I Took With Me

A Quick Healdsburg Escape Before School Starts

Sometimes the best trips are the ones just a short drive away. Before the busy school year began, we snuck away to Healdsburg — only a couple of hours from the Bay Area but a true haven of nature, incredible food, and simple pleasures. It was exactly what we needed: time with family, a little indulgence, and space to just slow down.

A Culinary Journey

The highlight was without a doubt our dinner at Single Thread, a Michelin 3-star restaurant that exceeded every expectation. As a vegetarian, I often go into fine dining experiences a bit cautious, but they outdid themselves. Each dish was more thoughtful and delicious than the last, melting in your mouth in a way that felt indulgent yet approachable. The atmosphere was fun rather than stuffy, and the staff brought humor and personality that made the evening memorable. A peek into the kitchen even reminded me of scenes from The Bear — organized chaos, but somehow beautiful.

For the occasion, I dressed up my look with layered necklaces that caught the candlelight just right, paired with a diamond bangle for a refined yet modern touch. Even on vacation, my stacking rings are always with me — they’ve become part of my everyday style story.

Meanwhile, the kids had their own adventure with dinner at Pizzando, just a short stroll away. It gave them a sense of independence and gave us the rare luxury of adult conversation, all within walking distance.

Where We Stayed & Played

We checked into Hotel Healdsburg, where the pool, complimentary bikes, and even a quick workout at the gym gave us a perfect mix of relaxation and productivity. Strolling around the downtown, we came across street art, sculptures and of course an all time favorite library. Jewelry always comes off when it’s time for poolside lounging or the gym, but my modern bezel huggies are my travel must-haves — comfortable, versatile, and perfect for everything from strolling downtown to grabbing coffee.

Foodie Favorites Around Town

Our days revolved around discovering Healdsburg’s food and coffee scene — and it did not disappoint. Some standouts:

A Nature Reset

On Sunday morning we wandered through the Healdsburg Farmers Market, soaking in the colorful displays of tomatoes, fresh flowers, and local produce. Before heading home, we made one final stop at the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve near Guerneville. Walking among towering redwoods — some hundreds of years old — was humbling and grounding, and a reminder of how fortunate we are to have such beauty right in our backyard.

Final Thoughts

Our Healdsburg escape was short but filled with everything we love: meaningful family time, a little indulgence, and the chance to recharge before the school year rush begins. And, of course, my jewelry was part of the journey — from casual stacks during the day, to layered elegance for dinner, and my trusty bezel huggies that make traveling effortless. A trip to remember, in every sense.
